What’s up Daily Dish gals! I received a very important message from singer and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. She’s teamed up with Staples and Do Something for a School Supply Drive and needs your help!

Jordin’s asking you to collect and donate school supplies at any Staples store from July 6th - August 31st. “There are so many kids in America that need school supplies that don’t have them, and all somebody has to do is donate,” Jordin says. “It’s so easy. I’m very excited to be involved with the Do Something 101 campaign and help motivate teens to get involved.”

Jordin, who is currently out doing promo in Germany, talks about Katee and Joshua's dance routine to her hit song "No Air" in this week's USWeekly. 

“[Katee and Joshua] did a routine to my song, “No Air,” and it was crazy to see how they moved to it. It was beautiful and I totally saw the story. I got chills,” Sparks tells Us of the pair’s June 11 performance. “I played it 100 times!”

What’s it like for Sparks – who performed “No Air” on SYTYCD’s June 29 results show - to see American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe take a seat at the SYTYCD judging table? “So crazy!” she says. “We [got] to see him behind the scenes on Idol, but here he talks about so much more. With Nigel being the producer of Idol, he’d [tell us] 'How about you try walking here? Do a note here. A jig here.' He knows what he’s talking about [on both shows] and knows what looks good on TV.”

And while David Cook may be the newly crowned potentate of the Idol kingdom, Jordin Sparks gave the RWB crowd a remarkable reminder of how she earned her reign a year ago at the age of 17. Bounding around the stage from the first beat to the last, you wouldn’t think that Sparks had just wrapped up what appeared to be (at least on paper) a rather grueling two-month tour with Alicia Keys. Backed by a tight three-piece, Sparks’ vibrant voice filled the amphitheatre to the brim with offerings of, among others, “Tattoo,” a short but powerful cover of Keys’ “Fallin,” and her signature hit “No Air.” On top of it all Sparks was graciously aware of her audience, reinforcing her reputation for being able to charm a crowd with not only her voice but an effusive personality as well.

Jordin Wins At BET Awards!!

The BET Awards were held last night in Los Angeles, and Jordin was nominated for three awards: The Beautiful Face Award, the Best Heartbreak Video Award, and the very prestigious Viewer's Choice Award! Jordin did great! She brought home two of the three awards (Lil Wayne came away with Viewer's Choice), so congrats, Jordin! Just being nominated for Viewer's Choice is quite an accomplishment!

The Alicia Keys Tour Wraps Up

Jordin had a great time meeting so many avid fans while on tour with Alicia and Neyo! This coming weekend she'll be flying to Europe for a promotional tour. It's her first trip to Europe.

Jordin will be performing her new single "One Step At A Time" on So You Think You Can Dance tonight. This is GREAT promo for the song, so hopefully we see it really blow up after this exposure! Be sure to tell all your friends to tune in and watch. 

Before the show ends for the night, Cat asks the judges who they think will be going home. They all agree that it will be-----Joshua's dad. They make no comment on which dancers they think are in danger.

Cat ends the night by telling us Jordin Sparks and Qwest will be performing---and that two more people (one male, one female) will be eliminated. She reminds the audience to vote once again before saying good night.
